The project titled "Technologies and Applications of Portuguese-Chinese Machine Translation System" won a second-class prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award Category awarded by the Government of Macao SAR.

    The Science and Technology Awards aim to reward people who make contributions to local scientific and technological activities, inspire the enthusiasm and creativity of local scientists and technologies, and accelerate the development and technological undertakings in Macao. The Government of Macau SAR has established different types of awards, including: (1) Science and Technology Awards in (a) Natural Science, (b) Technological Invention, and (c) Science and Technology Progress Award; (2) Scientific and Technological R&D Award for Postgraduates; and (3) Special Award.
    The ceremony of the Macao Science and Technology Awards 2012 was successfully held at Macao’s Cultural Centre on the 19th October, 2012
